Good news everyone! After his grisly end in Sons of Anarchy, Jax Teller has been reincarnated. In the past. As a knight!
OK, so we haven’t had enough coffee yet and may be just a little unhinged. But there’s nothing unhinged about the forthcoming epic fantasy adventure King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, which stars Jax’s alter ego Charlie Hunnam as Arthur himself.
When young Arthur’s father is murdered, his uncle seizes the crown. With no idea who he truly is, Arthur does it tough growing up in the back alleys of the city. But then he goes and rips Excalibur from the stone, and falls under the sword’s powerful thrall. Will he face his demons, unite the people, defeat his evil uncle and become the rightful king?
Throw in Jude Law, Aidan Gillen, Djimon Hounsou and Eric Bana alongside him and that’s a pretty impressive cast for Guy Ritchie’s take on Arthurian legend.
Also pretty impressive is the trailer just below. None of this usual 2D stuff, you hit the streets of Londinium in search of Excalibur, grabbing the vision and twisting it whichever way you wish to look. Very cool!
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword hits cinemas on May 18.
