The highly-anticipated, Xbox One-exclusive co-op title from Platinum Games is no more.
I feel like it was just last week that we were wondering about Scalebound and what had happened to it, and now news has broken that the title has been dropped altogether.
Rumour has it that Platinum had already ceased work on the project by late last year, citing "continuing issues surrounding the game’s engine and overdue deadlines."
“After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for Scalebound,” a Microsoft spokesperson told Polygon. “We're working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year, including Halo Wars 2, Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves and other great experiences.”
Looks like we'll have to find another way to ride giant dragons into battle while wearing Beats by Dre.
