Twitch and Sony have partnered to host a charity stream for You Can, the Sony Foundation's youth cancer initiative.
Twitch and the Sony Foundation will come together to host a 30-hour live stream on April 29, raising money for You Can.
The inaugural Gaming4Life stream will play host to a number of special guests and entertainment, featuring appearances from Loserfruit, Bajo, and JamesTurnerYT, and musical guests (and avid gamers) Alan Walker, Cyrus, and LDRU, with more to be announced.
Those watching will have the chance to donate to the cause (which you can also do here), as well as check out interviews, exclusive content, and of course a bunch of gameplay from the likes of Horizon Zero Dawn, For Honor and even the yet-to-be-released Prey.
“Once you turn 16, the chances of surviving certain cancers is halved in Australia. Sony Foundation’s You Can campaign is committed to changing this, but we need the community’s help. Twitch streamers are a socially conscious community and with You Can being a youth related cause we hope that Gaming4Life will connect with the gaming community and engage them in our cause by providing entertainment like never before, thanks to the support of our family of Sony companies," said Sony Foundation GM Emma Pechey.
If you needed any more reason to tune in, there will be a bunch of prizes up for grabs from a tonne of different devs for those who donate, and Sony are even offering a limited edition 20th Anniversary PlayStaion 4 Console for the highest donor over the 30 hours.
The stream will commence 9AM AEST April 29 at twitch.tv/6T4bites. Make sure to tune in.
